New Year's Prayer and Celebration

This is an event where Kyudo members gather from all over Japan at Nakatsugawa Learning Center and hold a New Year's Prayer and Celebration on January 2nd and 3rd.

Celebration Prayers of the Three Periods of the Year and the Four Seasons

A celebration marks the beginning of each of the three periods of the year. The first day of the first month is the lunar New Year, the fifth day of the fifth month is Tango Setsu , and the 15th day of the 8th month is the Harvest Moon. The prayers to celebrate the four seasons are held on the 15th day of the 3rd month for spring, the 15th day of the 6th month for summer, the 15th day of the 9th month for fall, and the 15th day of the 11th month for winter.

Monthly Prayer Days

Held on the 1st (new moon) and 15th day (full moon) of the Lunar Month.

Bukko Taikai

This is a special assembly held at Nakatsugawa Learning Center.

Overseas Events

For Kyudo members there is an exchange program between Dotoku Kaikans branches in Japan and other countries such as Brazil, United States, India, Myanmar, Mongolia.
There are also events to participate at the Ten-On Miroku Butsu-in Temple in Taiwan.
